Book Review: Giraffes Can't Dance

Going to the library is a regular thing at our house. Don't you just love that you can open up to a whole new world of possibilities, learn new things, and it is inside an air conditioned building? J has his own library card now, and loves checking out books and movies. He is such a big boy now.

We borrowed Giraffes Can't Dance by Giles Andreae. It is a colorful tale of a giraffe that loves to dance, and all of the jungle animals assume that giraffes are incapable of possessing such talent. The giraffe keeps on dancing despite the criticizing, and eventually wins over his doubting jungle companions. This book is wonderful, and it encourages children to keep doing what they love even when others say they are not talented enough.

Happy Library Going,
