How to Dry Silver

The hostess that I did a party for a couple of months ago wanted to use her silver punch bowl and goblets. It was truly gorgeous, but when it came time to clean up after the party I was nervous about scratching her silver when drying it.

She gave me a great tip that I thought was worth sharing. She turned her oven on to the low temperature of 250 degrees, and we placed the silver in the oven. It only took about 10 minutes for the silver to dry and they did not get very hot at all. The silver goblets and punch bowl looked fabulous.

Don't be nervous about using your silver that Aunt Sally gave you.  Dry it with the oven and you will not scratch the silver.

Do you have any tips about silver? I would love to hear from you.
