Book Review and Activities: Ribbit

I love that the characters are just as clueless as the readers in this story. Ribbit written by Rodrigo Folgueira and illustrated by Poly Bernatene is about a pig that shows up one day at a pond. The frogs don't know why the pig is there and nether do all of the other animals.

Its a great story about taking something small and blowing it out of proportion. Once you get to the end of the book, you will feel as silly as the frogs. This is a wonderful book to read with your children before starting school.

Activities:
*Bake cookies or a cake and welcome new neighbors to your neighborhood.
*Go to a pond and see if you can spot some frogs
*Bird watch
*Go to a petting zoo
*Make goodie bags for your new classmates

Happy Reading,

Amanda
