Heart Wreath

February is such a girly month, and that is not stopping this mama of boys from doing crafts. I love all the reds, pinks, lace, and chocolates, and jewelry, and flowers. A girl could get carried away.

This craft was on Pinterest and I thought it would be great for my 4 year old and I to do for Valentine's Day. We used the materials that we had on hand, and I think it turned out great. This craft helps the little ones practice sorting, learn colors, order, and with motor skills.

Materials:
1 sheet each of Red, Pink, & White Paper. You will need 4 strips of paper per color. (Card stock would be best for holding the shape)
Tape
Ribbon
Door Hanger
Scissors

Instructions:
Cut the paper into 1 1/2 strips turning the paper landscape.

Have your little one sort the paper into piles by color.
Fold the paper in half.

Fold in the two edges of the paper and tape together.
After all 12 hearts have been formed, tape the outside edges together.

Punch a hole on the outside edge of two of the hearts. We went with three hearts in the middle to even the wreath out.
Tape the ribbon onto the inside of each heart.
Hang on door.

The craft was super simple and the original idea was at The Poop Whisperer. Let me know how your crafts for Valentine's Day turn out.

Happy Crafting,

Amanda
